Senior Structural Engineer

• Lead structural design and analysis for a variety of projects, including residential,commercial, and high-rise buildings. 
• Perform structural calculations, modelling, and simulations using industry-standard software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro). 
• Design and review substructure systems including soil improvement, shoring, piling, and foundation systems. 
• Oversee superstructure design elements such as columns, beams, slabs, shear walls,and other load-bearing components. 
• Coordinate with geotechnical teams to review soil investigations and recommend suitable foundation solutions. 
• Ensure all designs comply with RAK Municipality regulations, UAE building codes,and international standards. 
• Review and approve structural shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation. 
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and collaborate with architects, MEP teams,and other stakeholders. 
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural assessments as required during project execution. 

Qualifications & Requirements 
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred). 
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in structural design and engineering. 
• Proficiency in structural analysis and modelling software: ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro. 
• Strong understanding of: 
           o Soil improvement techniques 
           o Shoring and piling 
           o Raft, mat, and deep foundation systems 
           o Superstructure design (RCC, post-tensioned, and structural steel systems) 
• Familiarity with RAK Municipality regulations and submission processes is a strong advantage. 
• Knowledge of UAE codes, BS, ACI, IBC, and other relevant international standards. 
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Membership with UAE Society of Engineers or equivalent professional body. 
• Experience working on projects in Ras Al Khaimah or other UAE emirates. 
• Knowledge of BIM processes and tools (e.g., Revit Structure). 
• PMP or similar project management certifications.
